Mental Health Therapist

With more than ten years of experience as a professionally licensed mental health therapist, I have an array of skills and services I can offer you. I work with adolescents and adults and specialize in the broadly-focused issues of anxiety, depression, and “feeling stuck”, as well as the more focused areas of panic disorder, social anxiety, and obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD). I will be that person who guides you along the way towards change, in the spirit of helping you move in the direction of a more meaningful life.

I use evidence-based therapeutic practices including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Exposure Therapy, and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) with my clients. You can be assured you’re receiving the best treatment available for your mental health and wellbeing.

I earned my undergraduate and master’s degrees in social work from the University of Iowa. I received two additional years of training in CBT for the treatment of anxiety disorders from Scott Temple, Ph.D. at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics. I completed the International OCD Foundation’s Behavior Therapy Training Institute, which indicates I have specialty training in Exposure and Ritual Prevention (ERP), the gold standard treatment for OCD. Additionally, I am a Clinical Fellow of the Anxiety and Depression Association of America and a professional member of the Association of Behavioral and Cognitive Therapies.
