Licensed Mental Health Therapist, Licensed Clinical Addiction Specialist, and Registered Play Therapist
I provide comprehensive therapeutic services to both children (ages 5 and above) and adults. My clinical expertise includes the treatment of co-occurring mental health and substance use disorders, anxiety, depressive disorders, anger management and impulse control difficulties, post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), and other trauma-related conditions.
I have specialized experience working with members of the military, law enforcement officers, and their families. As a military family member and former Embedded Behavioral Health Capability with the United States Marine Corps, I bring a deep understanding of the unique challenges faced by this community.
My therapeutic approach is goal-oriented and person-centered, integrating evidence-based modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), and additional proven interventions. I am a Registered Play Therapist with certification in AUT PLAY, as well as a Licensed Clinical Addiction Specialist. Additionally, I have served as the Director of the Substance Abuse Counseling Center for the Marine Corps in Twentynine Palms, California, further enhancing my expertise in the field.
I received my graduate degree from Doane University in Nebraska in 2012. I am licensed to practice in Iowa, North Carolina, and California.
I accept Wellmark Blue Cross Blue Shield and most out-of-state Blue Cross Blue Shield insurance plans. I also accept HealthPartners, Tricare and some Cigna plans. My self pay rate is $200 for your first appointment and $175 after that.
